We just changed from the old white vodafone router to the newer ultrahub. I've plugged it in all setup. However the Phone led on itis flashing red and line seems to be busy when the phone picked up.

Its not working obviously.

What needs to be done to fix it?

Your details need to be provisioned against the new device. Without knowing Vodafone's process you potentially need to do this once you've installed the new hardware so they can do this.

What did they say when you contacted them?

90 minutes!!!

I do tech support for an ISP in the UK and if too many of my calls are over 15 minutes I don't get as much bonus.

Think you may find he's referring to wait time rather than aht.

Aht is an important metric sure, but I'm a firm believer In getting it right rather than rushing about and risk causing repeats etc...

Nah mostly people running around passing the buck and conferencing with other people taking details and whatnot and hold on while i discuss with my supervisor.

Then a 5 min wait.. then doing this ..blah blah.  5 more mins passing through to someone else. Then repeating stuff due to accent issues.

Also there was a lot of background chatter and noise they clearly were not in any sort of private booth

never mind we got there in the end.

Vodadone is New Zealands worst isp as consistently voted by customers year after year, so you never expect to be satisfied by their service and they do their best to make sure you are never happy.

Here is my Quic referral https://account.quic.nz/refer/39513 if you are keen to change ISP and to get free setup (save $29). I will get a $50 credit if you use this.  Thank you very much if you use my link but I'm sure there are quite a few others who could share the same on here, no hard feelings if you use a different link.

Oh so the endless transfers from person to person are still happening? That's not good.
