There have been a few threads over the last few years about getting DVB-C cards working with TelstraClear.

Someone inevitably mentions how they have heard that 'people' have got it working, but I haven't seen any real confirmation that its possible.

I understand it's against the T&C, and if people don't want to post exact details here, then fine.  Assuming it IS possible, then I'd be happy with some indication about how feasible it is.  Does it require a bunch of hacking, or is it fairly straightforward?

Then again if you want to PM me the details, that's fine also. :)

Is it worth the effort, or is it easier just to go the analogue capture route?

And would a DVB-C system built now let you capture the HD content when they get around to launching that?

That thread is a couple of years old now.

Does anyone know if it still applies?  I'm confused a little about sub's comments about how the 'Symbol Rate' can't be provided due to an NDA.  If I get a DVB-C card that supports IrdetoII and install GB-PVR will I be okay or not?

You will be breaking your terms and conditions of contract.  Should you be discovered, don't be surprised if you get a visit from TelstraClear.
