Hi guys,

Im a kiwi living in Hong Kong. I come home every year and have a Voda prepay SIM i use when home. The sim is active . Ive just brought an unlocked iphone and can recieve and make calls/texts. However I cant get the internet or email to work. It has full strength 3G signal. Ive tried live.vodafone.com in the APN but still no joy. What am i missing here??

I just want to get it sorted now so i dont spend 3 days sorting it out when im home! Ive googled a few APN variations and this site comes up more than voda NZ!!

You should try "internet" or "www.vodafone.net.nz".

Also it may not work overseas - I am not sure data roaming is available on prepay automatically.

When back in New Zealand it will be automatically on the $1/10MB a day plan.

Try www.vodafone.net.nz

make sure you turn data roaming on

As advised above dont use live.vodafoe.com this is the wap gateway apn and the iphone does not have a wap browser. Also i would use internet or www.vodafone.net.nz apn. Any country voda nz has camel (prepay) roaming will have data roaming.
