A few months ago I setup some cameras on my neighbour's network. This morning they contacted me to tell me that the cameras weren't working. After much investigation, I determined the cameras had the wrong IP addresses and the static DHCP entries were missing from the router.

What could have caused this to occur? Is there some sort of configuration save button I need to press, or should a simple "Apply" after entering the DHCP values do the job?

That's the instructions I used to set them up initially and again this afternoon. I'm trying to work out why they were lost, and how to prevent it happening again.

Perhaps someone factory reset the router?

My Ultra Hub got reset, presumably remotely, a few months after I got it.  It was alerted to this because the admin password was reset.

Maybe it was a firmware update.  My Ultra Hub's firmware is now

17.1.7988-2461029-CRF897-RC2-4-9

I suspect something like that may have occurred. The residents tell me they haven't touched it.

Nobody should be resetting those critical (and annoying to re-enter) settings.
