HI, I have an I-mate JasJam, I have had it for a year now (from Vodafone Insurance replacement for previous Imate) and have not been able to get PXT up and running. I have on too many occasions contacted 777, which their favourite answer is we dont support Imate (as they had stopped selling them). I then contacted Imate directly who emailed me the CAB file I ran this from my JasJam this didnt work & also downloaded the settings from Vodafone Wireless. I have also changed the settings as per another Geekzone forum but none of these things have worked.
I have tried send a test PXT which is only 89k. But it wont send. Vodafone have said things are ok on their end & PXT is activated.
Please help, very frustrated!

Basic fault checking

Does SIM work in another handset?

Send a PXT to your own mobile number from another handset you know that works with another SIM in it.

This will show if its a Vodafone issue or handset issue

Try downloading an imate configurator from the club i-mate site. I had difficulties after flashing various ROMs, with various connection wizards, alwasy go back to configurator. It is free but you need to register. If you need the cab let me know.

Edit, are you still running the official WM5 or have you upgraded to Telstra's imate 6.0 ROM, or?? Further information would be helpful.

HI, thanks for your reply. I downloaded the file from club imate, still not working. Yes I'm using WM5, should I upgrade this? If so how? Does it matter if i'm on VF? The .cab file wld be great if it will work.

With caution you can ... pretty simple really, and plenty of support. How much data is on it at the moment? can you tell me the version of the MMS composer? is it the split one (hence inbox split from sms, or is it joint).

Happy to give you a hand if you are in Christchurch Innocent

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.
