Good day Geeks

Can anyone direct me to where I find the system time (setting?) for a Vodafone NZ Huawei HG659. Not for the first time I'm having trouble understanding the parental control on this thing, whereby recently the kids all happily carry on online for a good hour after the cut off.. I'm suspecting the device doesn't know about NZ daylight saving perhaps......?

Double check if the time setting option is enabled or not, it might be hiden.

on our ones we bind it to our ntp servers, I'd assume vodafone do much the same...

Have you logged in as admin to have a look?

From here.

For firmware versions - V100R001C206B019 or V100R001C206B020

3. Enter the following username and password

Username: Admin
Please note: The username is case sensitive
Password: "@"and the last eight digits of your modem serial number
E.g. if your modem serial number is ABC0987654321 your password will be @87654321

Modem serial number

The serial number is located at the back of your modem.

For firmware version V100R001C206B013

Username: Admin
Password: VF-NZhg659

yes I've logged into it as Admin but there is no sign of system time settings anywhere. I have however found login times in the system logs and they look all good.. ho hum... Also here's nothing as detailed as that to be found in the VF website link but thanks anyway

Gonna be honest I didn't even realize the HG659 had parental controls at all so I've got no idea sorry. 😬

I found this, might help -

Once the firmware is updated to V100R001C216B113 version please follow the instructions below.

Click Internet -> Internet Services -> Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP)

Select the correct timezone and click enable Daylight saving time to configure DST.

Also SNTP support won't work unless the device is operating as your gateway
