Hello,

In July, I was made aware by someone "in the know" that a replacement for the Linksys WAG54GP2 was in the pipeline and was about 1-2 months away.

Can anyone from Xnet or here shed some light on when this piece of H/W will be released? I am holding off my swicth to VFX until this is released and am getting a little impatient!!!

Cheers,

Donald.

Apparently they are still testing it....most prob security issues, but i have been told it won't be long before we can get our hands on one!

We gave them a NETGEAR DG834GV to test but that is taking a long time to be ready to, testing must be extensive.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! I love my netgear! If xnet go with that model, I'd probably upgrade from the pap2t and netgear DG834GT I'm using and get one of those.

Yes!
Because my current netgear totally kicks butt. It's only flaw is the missing QOS.

I'm going to go hunt down the V version specs. I remember looking at it when I bought the GT but ruling it out because at the time there was no VOIP to be had in the land and the V version was more expensive. If it gives priority to the phone but keeps all else exactly the same as the GT version I'd be an ecstatic camper.

WHICH version are they looking at of that model?? The V2 I'm guessing.

Also, I'd be happy to test a unit for you, XNET! Just send me one over. I'll let you know if it spits the dummy.

Edit: Oh well, no QoS or voice prioritisation on the Netgear DG834GV that I can find anywhere, so I'd just as soon keep my current setup.

What is it with Netgear not wanting to implement QoS?
I wonder if the Netcomm/Dynalink RTA1025W has a V version yet?

We are pretty keen to get Fusion and ditch Telecom for a VOIP solution, but I am hanging out for the new model replacement for the WAG54GP2 (have been waiting for a few months!) I don't want to pay for a WAG54GP2 now when the new model is so close.

Does anyone have a PAP2T or indeed a WAG54GP2 that I could borrow until the new model arrives? If you are a business, I would be happy to agree to purchase the new model from you when it becomes available (providing pricing is reasonable).

I am happy to provide some kind of security or written agreement so that it does not appear I am going to disappear with the loan product!!

Cheers,
