I have a 6.5gb download thats been going for 8 days. Average speed 9.1kB/s, and I leave it running
till about 12.00pm (from 12am). Day time speeds boost the average up a bit. More like 3kB/s-7kB/s
after 12am. It's like getting a free tank of gas and only being allowed to back up and down your drive.

About three weeks ago
I used an app called "CurrPorts" to check how many tcp connections I had open during a torrent
download and it was around 350, with realatively good speeds. Tested tonight with two torrents
running and same setup in utorrent. Currports shows only 128 tcp connections. Perhaps xnet is
limiting the amount of tcp connections somehow. Who knows really. Its all smoke and mirrors at
the moment.

If you dont mind paying a couple extra bucks I say all those on the torrent plan should let their torrent
run through to midday in protest to this current situation. (or perhaps thats a bit naughty). Anyways...

Cheers ;-)

This program lets you see how the average speed of the swarm,  it gives you an idea of how fast the torrent should be going.

Vuze 4.0.0.0  (formerly Azureus) is a java bittorrent client offering multiple torrent downloads, queuing/priority systems (on torrents and files), start/stop seeding options and instant access to numerous pieces of information about your torrents.

I think they have designed it to rip people off...

people switched to the torrent plan, and now you cant even download a 350meg file between 12-8am..... so if you want to keep downloading you have to download outside the free area, then you have to pay more per gig....

Who can you complain to about service quality?

I recently got my account suspended (wont go into it) but I have now decided to use my free data purely as a linux hosting service (through torrents)

Started downloading and was getting around 600kbps then all of a sudden it has dropped to 15 and wont get any higher! Answers PLEASE xnet?

Well if we count uploads I did upload 4 times that amount.........

I set the file for midnight start I woke at 7 and it was still on 78%, now this is a popular torrent.

Ive stopped gaming after 8pm as the lag is horrendous, but alas it wont be for much longer as in about 4 weeks im shifting and NOT going to use xnet, even if I pay more id rather have quality than being ripped off.

Anyone using that $90 20gig Vodafone plan, which includes the phoneline?

Id go with Naked dsl but in relaity its not any cheaper than actually having a phoneline, well it is if you barely use Data lolz.
