Is anyone aware if VFNZ does not allow some inbound roamers to use the 3G network?  I travel with a few different 3G devices from different telcos, and some get 3G service in NZ and others don't.  The ones which do not get 3G appear to register to the 3G network briefly (say 30 seconds), then get disconnected and reconnect and receive GSM service only.

No big deal since the half-rate issue seems to have gone away, but curious...

Yes - the same handset works fine on UMTS2100 in most other countries; and if I swap in another SIM (e.g. VFNZ) it will happily run on 3G in NZ.

The SIM which does not get 3G service is SingTel; who do say they have 3G roaming with VFNZ.
