I have a friend up the road who wants to relocate their Vodafone RBI modem and would like to extend the cable from the existing location. Does anyone know offhand if the cable from the external antenna terminates with an SMA or RP-SMA connection at the router? (I'll recommend if they're going any great distance to just use an ethernet cable and a switch).

It's SMA (assuming the B525?)

Careful when extending cable due to signal loss. Either replace with 15m LMR-300 cable, or if longer ideally LMR-400.

And I would suggest getting premade and certified cables too unless you know how to terminate coax.
