i am curently with xnet but we all know how crap they are at the moment.
so was told telstra are the best at the moment but then i have seen post about very high pings to australian server
and i will be playing on australian servers nearly all the time so i need very good ping to them
so is there a problem with the pings or was that just a 1 off
thank you

Its often 1 off due to the international providers changing routes etc. Almost all servers are good bar a few that have had wierd routing issues, which telstraclear seems to have fixed. All the servers which are mentioned in that thread below now ping 50 for me which is nice and low.

Currently for gaming,  it seems the only three ISP's which have been confirmed as problem free by gamers at the moment are Telstraclear, Telecom or Maxnet (source: gpforums). For telecom the pro plan is ideal since this plan allows interleaving off. Maxnet seems to be on the expensive side.

If you can give the name of the network (eg gamearena) or IP of the server i can test pings from telstraclear.

jdgamez: dam internode is like my fav

I also play cod4 on their servers, atleast, used to.

Was fine till about 2 weeks ago i guess, ping went from 60ms to 300-400ms, and still is  that way, aswell with other aussie servers (not all).

Quite annoying, hopefully they sort it out soon!

Naa almost all Australian servers are fine. None are giving me issues except those two.

Plus the Clearnetdeluxe CoD4 servers will give you under 20 ping (and sometimes under 10) so you don't need to play on Australian servers.
