Was offered free for new Fibre 100 connection, tested and it's no better than the Fritz!box we are using now. Probably going to selling if off rather than keep it as a backup.

I had a look on the term and conditions, and AFAIK it is not rented to me (means I have to returned it if I am leaving Vodafone). Just double check here to see if I missed anything.

Depends on how you judge 'better' I suppose. It has a 4G backup in case your fibre ever dies, might be useful? But in answer to your question, if it's no good to you then selling it's fine.

I recall at one stage their modems had to be de-registered in the customer portal things like VoIP registration and broadband usage would accrue to the registered account.

Yes 4G backup is a good point, consider that I am working from home half of the time. but not that important to me right now, 10Gb+ accumulated mobile data need to be used somehow :D

I was hopping the newer router would be provider faster WiFi speed or improve dodge WiFi reception at some rooms but there is no improvement and got strange connection dropped out with the VF router.

Good point, but not using VF VoIP and looking at my VF account webpage, there is not much to do, as least I can't find it :D
