Whoah ! I can stream youtube and not timeout on international sites today. Speedtest done at midnight (I'm located in Auckland City Downtown with nDSL).
I really hope this is not a one off thing, anyone else notice difference today ?

Always been able to stream videos at midnights, its during the times 3pm->11pm that you cant without waiting the 3 minutes to buffer the 1 minute video.

Are you on the torrent plan? If so that's your reason.

Well, I am on Xnet Torrent....

2 weeks ago, my internet was doom and gloom...  Websites totally unsurfable (even sites like facebook or yahoo mail).  Only the NZ ones were OK.  Download speeds on BT down to about 5kbps/30kbps (and that's only because I limit upload)...

But now....  Vast vast improvement.  Yes, YouTube videos still need to be bufferred (about 30s for 2 mins of video)...  BT speeds consistently reaching 200kbps down (over 10pm-1am)....  But hey, considering that off peak data is free, I do think that it's acceptable.

Err no, 10pm - midnight is on peak and youll be getting charged as such.... so wouldnt surprise me if things looked good over that time period.

In saying that, I actually had some data come through over night, files Ive downloading for 3 weeks are almost finished so maybe things are on the up after long last...   but Im still on the look out for a new ISP just in case...

I've seen some improvement too; but the real litmus test "can I stream YouTube unbuffered at night", is still no. So they still have a bit of work to go.

Hmmm, then maybe you have some other issue. There should be no problem during the daytime 8am-5pm.

Yes, I understand that. But 12am-2am, it's still going fast of over 200kbps.... And I've just confirmed this again last night....  As for the "YouTube test", it's still no....  But hey, considering that off peak data is free, I'm happy for now...

Just a wonder guys... If you have updated to SP3 recently, you might need to repatch your tcpip.sys again...
