Hi all.

I bought my W910 only four months ago and the headphones that were bundled with it are already shot so I'm wondering what to replace them with.

Vodafone's online store doesn't seem to have any stereo headsets for SE phones, so where else could I go to buy this sort of thing?

Also, I see that Expert Infotech have a couple of stereo SE bluetooth headsets on their site for what seem like reasonable prices. However, I'm concerned at spending $100+ on a headset if the build quality is no better than the bundled headset and I also wonder if the FM radio would work with a bluetooth headset given that the headphone cable usually doubles as an antenna.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Bluetooth audio is baaad. Perhaps if you are happy with 96kbit MP3's you wont notice it, but on anything even half decent sounding running it thru a2dp ruins it.

I have an HBH-DS200 with K850i and its fine. I use it mainly at the gym with either some Sennhieser Sports phones or Shure somethings ( I forgot the model). Sounds best though when I am mowing the lawns and using my Bose QC2's

The radio doesnt seem to work, even with the wired cable in, it seems to default to the cable rather than the BT.

I cant tell the difference between wired and BT to be honest, and I use higher bitrate AAC, mindyou I am 50 and my ears are probably shot from years of loud music, big guns, head high tackles playing league, and getting biffed in the earhole in pub fights. Oh and my first wife nagging the crap out of me.

Thanks for feedback guys.

The problem with my existing headset is that the sound had almost died in one channel but I have just tried washing the filter on the side where the problem had occurred and it's now fixed. So, I'll stick with these for a while longer but I see that genuine SE headsets are going pretty cheap from private importers on Trademe so I may go in that direction if and when I do need to get a replacement.

The SE headsets on trademe are far from genuine. There are so many sellers of fakes on there.

And on a2dp I can easily hear the difference, cymbals, snares, applause, and other harsh sounds are the worst effected. Its not artefact riddled like old MP3 but its certainly very far from transparent, and I find V2 MP3 to be transparent enough so I am certainly no golden ear.

It looks to me as if fake ones are going for around $15-$20 while genuine ones are going for around $40-$50 from reputable traders. So, you need to be careful what you buy but the genuine article still seems to be reasonably priced.
