Can anyone advise me here
Have been on Fusion since Feb, Had a few Probs to start which we sorted  But
Over the past month, from around 7.30am to 8.30am, would keep dropping off the internet, 20 seconds on, 90 seconds off roughly.
which was no real problem.  Rest of day OK.  Except this afternoon when I really needed it, At 2.00pm it was going through the same on again / off again procedures, until now, 4pm and it's holding.   Is this liable to be our fault, an XNET fault or a telecom fault.
Am using an SPA2102 and a WAG200g which have been working perfectly well.   Phone appears to work OK right through.
Am not really very conversant with this line of technology, so a blunt answere is OK

My bet is on the copper line and something that is happening near it in that regular time period causing interference.

Think I see what you are getting at, but seems strange to me that we have come through a wet rough few months OK,and now its fine and drying out, this starts, and there is no street works or anything going on between our place and the exchange box that may upset things.

The internet needs to be connected for the phone to work (on Fusion), so that points to your network cable or router being faulty.  To be 100% sure, check the PPP and ADSL lights on your modem while the internet is not working.  I think the 90 seconds is Windows trying to figure out what is happening and eventually obtaining a new IP address.  If the ADSL was dropping out then it would take about 30 seconds to come back up again.

... or someone at XNet is playing with the "cables" post VFX but pre Internet.  You might also have software that is hogging your connection and it appears the internet is down.  My brother had such type of problem with Metacafe, even if you quit it it is still doing P2P.

B.T.W     Does heavy local useage ie. people checking their emails etc. prior to going to work or school have any bearings on this type of problem.
