Version 1.6.0 and above of the Digital TV Set Top Box software allows TelstraClear to send you ‘Mail’ messages. TelstraClear may from time to time inform you of planned work, outage updates to your service or other short announcements.
Below we outline the basics of using this new feature.
If you have a flashing light on the front of your Digital Set Top Box and see an ‘envelope’ icon on your banner, this means TelstraClear have sent you a mail message. A large envelope icon will also appear top left of the screen and flash for approx. 1 minute.
Step 1:
Press the ‘Menu’ button on your remote and use the cursor keys to highlight the ‘Mail’ icon.
Press the ‘OK’ button to continue.
Step 2:
The ‘Mail’ screen will be shown. Use the cursor keys to select the message to read. Once the message is highlighted, press the ‘OK’ button to read the message.
Step 3:
Your mail message will be displayed. Once you have finished reading the message, press the ‘Back’ button on your remote to exit.
Step 4:
The set top box will automatically ask you if you wish to delete the message. Press the ‘OK’ button to confirm this, or press the back key to keep the message and return to the main ‘Mail’ screen. Press the ‘Back’ key again to return to TV viewing.
Note:
Mail messages only remain while your set top box is powered up. Should you power reset your set top box, it is recommended you ensure all messages have been read.
If your set top box reboots or is manually reset, all mail messages will be lost.
