Im looking to change over to Telstraclear FS/FS PDQ from Telecom Broadband 40G FS/FS Pro Plan . I just have a few Questions.

I have seen some threads mentioning slow phone support of up to 1 hour wait times. Do they still have this problem?

Will i be getting faster international download speeds?

Does Telstra support ADSL2+, if not will they be and when? (Where i live our exchange is suppose to be updated in March 09)

Is Telstra better for online gaming? (Stable connection)

Does Testra PDQ get better overall speed than Telecom Broadband

These tests were recorded at 3:25pm

Why? It appears that your speeds are fine. Both telecom and telstraclear are two of the better ISP's for speed and latency (once you get interleaving off on telecom)

As far as i know yes, but its during peak times.

Hard to say, depends what your current speeds are. Using a multi threaded download manager i almost always max out my connection, i'm with telstraclear. If i just download using my browser depending on server i usually download a lot slower, hence why i use the manager.

Yes they do. All ADSL connections are capped at 25mbit/s which is greater than the 24mbit/s ADSL2+ maximum. Remember you don't magically get 24mbit/s when they upgrade your exchange, it depends on your line statistics. You may get no improvement at all.

In general, yes, though sometimes there are wierd routes to australia that pop up occasionally but currently all is good.

Not sure, cant really say yes or no.

They appear to be fine on speed, latency is a bit high but thats because you'll have interleaving on. If you ask very nicely they sometimes will turn it off on the non pro plans.

Answers in bold.
