My brother has been without internet access all day, so when he got home later in the day he called the help desk.

Their advice?
"We have no idea what the problem is, so just wait and maybe your internet will come back"

OMG... 'Cycle you cable modem' would be the obvious 'pre-determined' steps a call centre would take.. Perhaps he interrupted them in the middle of their meal break? :)

omg total FAIL !

Is that like "If you pray it might come back on"

What they didn't have anything from the service team to share ?

No basic diagnostics steps ?

If possible could you please PM me the details of this call - time called & number that your brother called from.

I see two notes on the account after this post and it appears the problem is now resolved.
