I want to port three prepay connections to VF. I called in to Noel Leeming today and the CSR gave me three blank SIM cards. However, there doesn't appear to be any way to activate them and port a number without having to call VF from a different phone? I have registered for My VF but that doesn't appear to be able to set up a prepay account from a blank Sim either.

I assume the guy at NL should have given me Sim cards with a prepay number already on them so I could them set up the account from the phone and port the number after that?

Yes, they should have given you a SIM with a number/connection attached, which you will need to port your number from another provider. Blank SIMs are used for a SIM swap (where the number is already with Vodafone and just needs to move to a new SIM, such as if the original SIM is faulty).

Thanks, I thought that was the case. I did question it at the time but he assured me it would work. Geekzone 1, Noel Leeming 0.

Hi Marmel,    Great to hear! that you are wanting to join Vodafone NZ as your service provider, in regards to porting numbers across to Vodafone essentially you'd need a existing prepay sim card with a mobile number already generated on it. Then you can follow the process of bring my number on our Vodafone NZ website https://www.vodafone.co.nz/prepay-porting/    Thanks ^Jovi from VFNZ
