I'm with Vodafone/iHug (been a customer since Ihug began) and in the last months of 2008, my broadband connection speed has declined. Basically I've got a USB ADSL Modem that requires dialing to connect, sorta like Dialup except without the beeping - it's pretty much instant, and anyway, usually after it would dial and connect, the icon appears and the baloon comes up telling me my connection speed (which ranged from abut 3.1mbps to 3.8mbps depending on the time of day).
But lately, I'm lucky to see it reach higher than 2.5mbps, and I've tried at all different times of the day and night, it's always about the same.
Is this normal? There's been no significant modifications to my phone line or anything to do with the broadband recently that I can think of. It's kinda annoying too, I used to be able to peak ~365kbps max on downloads but now I'm lucky to see it hit 260.
