Hi folks!
My Choose 60 contract is due to lapse in a couple weeks time.
Would it be possible to move from On Account to PrePay, while keeping my same On Account 021 number?
Appreciate your thoughts! :)
Many thanks,John

Yes, absolutely!

I have done this about 8 months ago now with no problems.  It was not possible to do it over the phone at that time.  Instead I had to go into a Vodafone-owned store (not just a dealer like Digital Mobile).

Having found the right place, it was a piece of cake, all done in less than 10 minutes Cool

WTF?

For who? You? Maybe.

What about someone who sends a few hundred texts a month, and makes very few calls? That would make Prepay the exact opposite to a ripoff, don't you think?

But that's the point, everytime you do make a call (albeit rarely) you get burnt.

Don't you speak to anyone anymore?? You're poor old mum

That was quite a bold statement. Pre-paid works exceptionally well for me as I recieve a lot of calls but make very few from my mobile..

Seriously I'd be lucky to top-up before my credit expires every 12 months.. compare this to even the cheapest on account plan and there's a significant saving.

I think better value mobile data would be the only thing that would entice me on to a plan.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I am also wanting to do this, go from On Account to Prepay..... but there is a BUT...

I've got an old Get 70 plan, and have a free2call 0800 number tied to the plan. (casual free2call).
And I'm currently living in London, UK, and will be overseas for at least another 10-12 months.

I'm throwing $20 a month away, just to keep my 021 number (on get 70), and keeping the 0800 free2call number (currently with a block so no one calls).

Can I put my 021 number, and free2call number, both on prepay?

Last time I asked, it was 'no' to both.
Now I see above I can port my 021 on account number to prepay.
How about my free2call 0800 number? Can I keep this?

Basically I want to keep my 021 number, and 0800 number.

Free2call numbers 0508/0800 can not be migrated to prepay

Only Mobile numbers can

Your free2call number can remain on account (on hold) as it is now and you can migrate your vodafone number to prepay
