Hey everyone

I got a problem with my cellphone, it keeps saying to insert my sim card and it is still inserted, I thought it must be the sim card as it has some real serious scratches on it , yet it still says to insert the sim card into the phone? Is there anything to do?

Well break it down where the issue is

1) Try SIM in another handset?

2) Try another SIM in your handset does the same error message happen?

Then you will see where the issue is

Hey there

I forgot to mention I purchased a new sim coz I thought that was the problem, when I booted the mobile up and it came up with a pin which I did not know? I tried 000, 1234, and the last 4 digits of my new mobile number and nothing happened, 10 mins later, bang it turned off and said 'please insert your sim card'

If you have already purchased a new SIM you know where the issue is then!

Why did you not just a new SIM with your old mobile number? cheaper as well

sim contacts on phones seem to flatten after many years on some of the older ones, try lifting them slightly if they look like they have lost their springieness - worst case you stuff it more then it already is, but since its not working then no worries...

Another thing to double check is if there is a catch that holds the sim card in tight.

I had inserted sim into one of my phones without locking in place and when bumped sim would slip and phone ask for sim card to be inserted.

Bit of a long shot but might be of help.

Hey everyone

I forgot the reply, it's definitely the phone itself, I am currently using my old phone at the moment.
