I'm in Canada and I'm trying to help a friend in Auckland connect to a Plex server here in Vancouver.

After troubleshooting persistent buffering issues I eventually did a speed test to his ISP (One NZ in Wellington), and found I was only getting a 5mbps upload speed (we each have 500mbps connections)

I can almost saturate my 500mbps upload connection to other NZ ISPs via speedtest.net, so I'm wondering if there is something up with One NZ?

My ISP here in Vancouver is Novus

No problems for me. Just did a speed test to a few servers in Vancouver on my phone on One NZ 5G and pulled 1.1gigabit down and 100mbps up. I wouldn't trust the One NZ speed test servers at the moment. The ones in Christchurch and Auckland have both been on and off and are currently down and the Wellington one has been very slow for me.

For me using my computer to access webpages has been super sketchy today, yet those same pages are fine on my mobile using 5g.
