First question was asking if I was aware of T-day,  NZ communications, black&white, and had a data connection.

A later one asked about what you hear about vodafone is positive. The scale of 1 to 7 being 1 strongly disagree, 7 being strongly agree...

I had to give them a 1 on that one since I had just read the 3g outage thread on here ;)

Wonder if they are really really panicking finally in their offices that they will be short one customer base in about 10 weeks time? :)

I have screenshotted the questions, but then realized I did it after I had answered them so I will clean them up and put them online later if there is any interest...

Hi Rich,

Do you realise you're in breach of the terms of taking part in such surveys? If the survey guys see this post they'll probably take you off the list.

These things are run in confidence and telling the world via a forum isn't really in keeping with that.

Cheers

Paul

Paul, sorry to drag this off topic but can you give us some indication as to what's going on with the 3g problems? I'm facing a virtual revolt from staf...

Seems to me that Vodafone do not want to hear what their customers think of them and have finally realised that real competition is not to far away. Hurry up NZ Comms I have delayed making any new handset purchasing decisions until NZ Comms launches into the marketplace. With the amount of cellsites they are building around the Hutt Valley I won't have to worry about their GSM coverage. As I do not have a 3G phone I don't know what their UMTS coverage will be like.

Hi Mikey, you're in Newmarket? Did you contact me through Twitter? If so, I'm hoping the problem has been solved... Let me know how it goes in the morning.

if not, where are you?

@ajw, Vodafone has been running its Voice panel for many years. We have tens of thousands of customers on it, giving us feedback and letting us know what they think of various product offers. From the panel we've bene able to launch offers like Best Mate and Family that are winning huge tracts of market share. It's certainly not something we've suddenly done on the basis that OMG someone else is launching in the market. It's about providing customers with what they want and going the extra mile in terms of coming up with new ideas.

Cheers

Paul using Best Mate or Family is only any use if you are calling within network. It's like owning half a cellphone as you get financially penalised if you call out of network. Tell the punters on both these plans how much it will cost them per minute to call out of network.

I had a quick read of the terms and conditions of the competition and the privacy policy and only saw details about what vodadone and vision critical would do with the data I gave them, They are both excessivly long and perhaps if there is something in there about not discussing the questions etc then it should be made clearer.

Can you point to the link that says that survey questions cannot be discussed?

Hi Rich - I am the person here at Vodafone that looks after Vodafone Voice and sent you the survey you are talking about.  Thanks for taking the time to fill out my survey Cool

Unfortunately you are breaching our T&C's.  You will find in the survey invitation you were sent, that there is bit of text at the bottom of the email which clearly states that by agreeing to do the survey, you agree to Vodafone's T&C's (and then to check out vodafone.co.nz for more details).

We have a clause within the Vodafone.co.nz T&C's that states that if someone is to digitally publish any of Vodafone's IP they need to seek permission from us.  So can I ask that you please do not post the screen shots you have mentioned above, and next time try to keep the actual details of the questions to yourself.

Sorry to jump in like this, but I am just trying to clear up these points.

Cheers!  Cool

Paul, me again.... :)

Does anyone else at GZ think that Voicemail-to-Email would be another great service Vodafone could provide? (emailing you a wav/mp3/whatever of the voicemail you just received)

The T&C in question is here and it says:

EDIT: no idea what's going on with that cut/paste quote but if anyone can tidy it up that would be swell.

Access to voicemail via email would be excellent, especially when travelling overseas for business.

Alternatively access via a web browser and mange VM inbox online.

Activation of VisualVoicemail on iPhone would be great!

Shame on you for not clicking through to the T&C's link on the Vodafone Voice email and reading through and analysing all the text like everyone else obviously does. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour.

Well it may be the case that it is grounds for not getting in the competition, but there are always the fair use provisions, so in theory posting them could be a review, news reporting or whatever the other one is that lets you use a portion of it without the rights holders concent.

There was no NDA like parts to it which is what Paul was mentioning in the reply - nothing about confidence at all so we are all above board discussing it from what I have read of the T&C and what was posted. Just questionable if I post screenshots of it, but I wont do that since it would probably lead to a complaint against whatever photohost I used and the nasty DMCA like laws everywhere would kick in making things get messy.

As Rossd kindly pointed out, the survey goes out to thousnads of Vodafone customers, i don't see how posting screenshots will cause any harm.

Not to mention that if it gets talk going about new offers then it is benificial to them keeping customers - look how long and drawn out the best mates for on account was, yet whack some questions on a survey about it and it looks like you care and its coming soon.

One of the offers made in the qurvey was something I would be very keen on if it was free of the stupid restriction that the same deal on telecom has... No prizes for guessing which one that is...

May still have to keep a phone on vodafone after t-day after all.
