Moved from Spark (eSim) to Mighty Mobile (physical SIM) just under a month ago and it seems like the port wasn't entirely successful. My iPhone will receive calls and messages seemingly fine however the primary number the phone thinks it has, is the number that came with the original SIM, not the number I ported. Main problem with this is that I can't use iMessage anymore with my old number which is causing a bit of chaos with my contacts.

I've had a couple of ONE support staff reach out to go through the normal turn it off and on again type steps but none of those worked and they seemed stumped on what to do next. The Mighty Mobile dashboard also still shows my number as "porting"

Anybody here have any thoughts on what could be going wrong or anyone from ONE / MightyMobile that might be able to help?

Thanks.

Hi gjm,

Yes, I am very familiar with these types of issues. It's not limited to Mighty Mobile; it can happen with other providers as well when porting in via a 'dummy number' on a SIM pack. You mentioned you are able to send/receive text and calls without any issues, except issue related to iMessage hence there are no issues with the port itself. This is spefically related to iMessage for iPhone or RCS for Android.

For iPhone, follow these steps and let me know how it goes:

Thanks.

thanks for the reply Adam, that actually seems to have done the trick! Really appreciate the response here as I hadnt come across or been directed to that article by any of the support people Ive spoken to previously. Great job, thanks again.
