Hi All

I plan to do some testing with 5G routers as backups to fibre connections for SMB clients.  We've got a One NZ connection in our office for testing, with the X80-5G router.  Unfortunately, this router does not support DMZ or Bridge Mode.  While not absolutely essential, Bridge Mode means VPN connections etc are simple to get going over the temporary connection.  Can anyone recommend some routers to consider?

Thank you. :)

Teltonika 5G router will do bridge mode. Not cheap though.

There is new X80 firmware due out sometime in December which includes bridge mode.  Watch for an update notification in your app.

not sure if the "direct" works on OneNZ but @saltynz confirmed it works on 2degrees and we have it in place on Spark

If this is accurate, it would be the ideal solution.  Thank you.

Also, if it's sold as a "fixed wireless" plan then you are bound to the OneNZ router and the Mikrotik mentioned above will not work

The X80 firmware is released with 4g/5g bridge and backup modes now. It will auto update or there is a manual update via the app too.

Awesome!  I'll have a play with it this weekend.
