I'm quite keen on the Dell Mini 9 deal Vodafone is doing at the moment.

In reading the info on the website it says that inbuilt 3G device is 2100 capable but makes no mention of 900MHz.

As only occasionally visit Auckland just wondering what sort of coverage this would have outside of the big smoke? I'm happy with my telecom t-stick and don't want to take a backwards step.

Also I have home phone / BB with Vodafone but because the mobile operation seems to run completely separate, is there any way of getting a mobile account (eg for the Dell) without having to go through my life history as I already have an account with one of their companies?

Acer aspire one has 900/2100mhz 3G sold through Dick Smith Harvey Norman

And there is loads of 2100mhz 3G coverage outside of Auckland

Here are some speed tests done on my Vodem stick in Rural Pukekohe

Any 2100 coverage in Rotorua? I was under the impresson that HSDPA wasn't available here - that's what your coverage checker on the vodafone site says

Yes all the CBD is 2100mhz 3G

and every single Vodafone NZ 3G cell is HSDPA

They are the same price on both sites, but the Dell one has a 16GB drive, but no mention of mobile data as standard or an add-on that I can see.

Shane the Vodafone version does not have the option of a 16GB drive. 8GB is just too small.

Do you know which of the Aspire One's from DSE have built in mobile data? Could not see any reference to this on the DSE site for any of these.
