I bought a new handset the other day - a Nokia 1200 to replace my Nokia 3315. Just needed a simple device that makes and takes calls and texts.
The handset is linked to Vodafone per prepay.
I used to top up my 3315 per the Hotlink facility. After a few days of using my new handset Vodafone texted me to tell me they had "biffed" me off their Hotlink system!!!!
Does anyone know how I can enable my handset to use Hotlink - else I am forced back into the dark ages of buying $20.00 topup cards/vouchers?
The IMEI of the handset is 35934602..... (first eight numbers only).
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the "all done" John.

How long does it take for your actions to reflect on my usage - ie, to add credit to my prepay account via Hotlink? Tried this morning and still no joy - response to top up attempt is "no bank registered" (that will be for the handset, not my mobile number - that is set with my Bank).

Thanks for any further advice.

Graham

Sometimes you have to put your SIM into another handset send a few SMS and then put the SIM back in your Nokia

John - you are a WIZZO!!!!

Without any more action on my part Vodafone have texted me and advised that my handset is now Hotlink operative.

And, just to prove it I have added credit to my prepay phone account.

All is rosy in the (my) world now. Funny how, until your help, I was devastated that a facility that I had taken up and gotten used to might be taken off me.

Thanks for your help.
