Can't see why they would change it.  If this is a new connection then either they do not have your correct MAC address, or on their end your account is not configured for a PAP2T, or these is something wrong on your end.

When I joined 2 years ago I wrote my MAC on the application form, then they phoned me and asked the same details that were on the application form and again I gave my MAC.  They still entered my MAC wrong.  It happens, and I would also assume that today they are more efficient than 2 years ago.  Either e-mail the help desk or phone them.  I find e-mailing is more efficient.

First thing would be to check with WxC as mentioned above and make sure they have the correct MAC address.

I assume you have a PAP2T purchased through retail channels in NZ?

There were (at least around a year ago) a lot of dodgy PAP2T's being sold on ebay all ex Asia. Typically unlocked Vonage boxes that were all reflashed with the same firmware that meant every MAC address was the same and differed from the one on the product sticker.
