Just gone onto a PrePay plan, and looking at the Auto Top-up option.

Web site info says that OneNZ will auto top-up when balance reaches $5.

How does that work when paying a flat fee for the prepay service?   Does the monthly fee 'balance' depreciate by a daily amount over the month?

Auto topup is when the balance goes below $5

Really you think they would take a daily charge for the base plan? Clearly not and they would take it when the plan renews every 30 days as per the terms and conditions!

Make sure you have enough balance for the base plan to renew or you will lose any carryover data / minutes they don't go on hold for 90 days like 2degrees

I guess $0 is below $5, viz. the last day before renewal is required 🙂

Seeing as there are no casual rates for TXT, calls or data on their new prepay just top up a few months/a years worth at a time? Join the winz clients with $100+ prepay balance lol

I asked in store about that and was told that the PrePay account balance can be added to, but cannot have a prepay credit balance of more than $2,000.

Not a bad way to pay-and-forget.

I spin the Daily Deals every week $1.80 gets you 1 GB of data which lasts 8 days which is enough for me. Still using the bonus credit they gave me for topping up $25 upon joining and haven't had to do any further top ups for almost a year now.
