Noticed over the last week or so that download speeds which were consistently in the 900Mbps range on the Kapiti HFC network, and now down to 400-500'ish yes upload has remained at the 100Mbps.

Anyone else seeing this in your area too?   Are they prepping us to move to fibre?

One NZ is progressively shutting down their entire HFC network which will be gone completely over the coming years.

It could be that some connections moved to fibre and the owners cut the cables. Without proper termination it could cause network problems.

Now, good luck getting support on a network that is being closed as fast as they can.

Highly likely, yes.

You'll be moved to UFB or an alternative solution as the HFC network is closing down. Many people around Kapiti have had their notices and been migrated.
