If I have a vodafone NZ handset Nokia 1110i and it is running prepaid(phone has not been used for a year) can I take it to Italy and run it with a Italian SIM...is the NZ phone unlocked and are there any other pitfalls?

Once again Mr Freitasm, thankyou for your prompt reply.Can you confirm I can take it to Italy, put in a SIM from TIM or another Italian company and use the phone?
