Is it possible to send PXT messages from a Vodafone NZ phone back to NZ whilst roaming in Australia. I asked in the Vodafone store today and they weren't quite sure......

Thanks :D

Just be aware that you will incur roaming data charges at $10 per MB while doing so. - you pay for the PXT and these data charges on top.

Hmm, ok, thanks for the reply's :) The person going doesn't plan on sending too many messages. Will they need to edit any addresses in the phone while over there? or is it just going to work.....

Make sure your phone book is stored in the +64 format, eg +6421111111 +64271111111

Should just work.

Remember though, at $10 per MB, a 250KB PXT will cost $2.50 in extra data charges.

If a Vodafone NZ SIM is in the handset it will just work no setings need to be changed

If you send them a PXT while they are roaming in AU they will pay for the incoming PXT

handsets have a setting that can disable incoming PXT while roaming
