Anyone else noticed that Cable & TV has completed died in the eastern suburbs.

The online status says nothing is wrong:

Service   Status
InHome PhoneLine   No known problems
InHome Broadband   No known problems
InHome TV - Analogue   No known problems
InHome TV - Digital   No known problems

Don't want to have to get a tech out... as that would mean dusting off my old Cable TV STV.. which hasn't been powered on in 2+ years...

Turns out a node in Strathmore has died and will be out for a few more hours...

Oh no... Telstra boke the telly, Telstra broke the telly... what would we do with no TV..... Doo Do (jaws music).. You guessed it..

I rang at about 10:30am after first noticing the outage at about 6am. The service status still hadn't been updated on the website so I had to wait on hold for more than 10 minutes just to be told there was a known issue. Had the website been updated I wouldn't have wasted mine and the call center staffer's time.

I've been a TelstraClear customer since the TelstraSaturn days and I can tell you that your experience is completely normal; the service status page is absolutely hopeless.
