me:hi vodafone, no coverage at my house, can you do a free divert for my wife and I so when we're at home we can just turn the  phones off and the calls will go to our landline.
vf:sure, we'll need to check your coverage issue out, leave it with us.

vf: i don't know.

me : 021xxx > 09xxx and 021xxx > 09xxx
vf: thats all done
me :thanks.

issue
yesterday, a strangely silent phone all day in town.
tried calling my mobile and low and behold, they did a divert all, for ever, not a divert on no answer, nice to have a day off, but filled up the voice mail at home with irate customers.

call 4:
me : authanticate + authenticate again ...enter pin and whats your pin...
me: hi, the divert does not work, you've set it to divert all....so my cellphone NEVER rings (which is nice)......
vf: ok, we'll change that from divert all, to divert no answer.
me: great thanks

issue
today : got calls all day on the cell, but none when home......
test : called my phone when it was off - straight to vodafone voice mail.....

call 5:
vf: please enter your pin number.
me: 1234
vf: transferring....
vf: music......
vf: more music......
vf: 4 minutes and 50 seconds of more music......
vf: thankyou for calling... goodbye.....click. beep...
me: my pleasure, I'm just here for the music now......

call 6:

me : authanticate + authenticate again ...enter pin and whats your pin...
vf: whats your email?
me: why, is my name and pin number not enough?, I don't know which one I gave you, I have 5 email addresses.
vf: just give me any one of them, I'm just entering it into the database.
me: oh, ok.... me@me.com
vf: whats the problem.
me: my divert just goes to voicemail, not to my home phone....
vf: can I place you on hold.
me: sure.
vf: thats all fixed.
me: really? what was wrong.
vf: it was set to divert no answer, not divert unreachable.
me: ok thanks.

test : called the wifes phone - straight to voice mail.....

call 7
me : authanticate + authenticate again ...enter pin and whats your pin... (with the wifes credentials, she hates the technical stuff)
me: hi vodafone, my wifes divert goes to voice mail, not to our home phone.....
vf: can I place you on hold.
me: sure
vf: we need to speak to your wife, we'll give her a call, as you're not listed on the account.
me: sure

thats the last we heard, they have not called the wife yet.

------------------

tune in next week what I find that Vodafone is probably charging me $1 / min for the diverts.....

F*&K vodafone, this was really hard, 7 calls for a simple divert.
