On the 12th Of May 2009 Vodafone announced that they had agreed upon a partnership with Twitter which will allow Vodafone users to send and receive updates via TXT messages to and from the online service.

Vodafone in that Press Release (on the 12th of May) stated that "The service will launch in the coming weeks."

I can't seem to find any new information on their website except for the press release last month.

I am just wondering how the setting up is going and when the service will be launched as it has been nearly a month since the announcement!

The service is up and running on both Vodafone and Telecom. You just need to go to your Twitter account settings, device page and follow the instructons from there.

In both networks it's free to receive updates, but you pay standard fees to send updates.

Also you might want to add your Twitter to Geekzone by updating your profile page.
