In response to Telecom's prepay data plans, vodafone have announced aome plans.

Broadband Lite - $10 for 10mb
Broadband Surfer - $40 for 512mb

these are compared to telecoms:

$6 for 20mb
$12 120mb
$18 240mb

I think you mean $10 for 100MB?

I'm pretty sure these plans were available before the XT launch.

Yes it is $10 for 100mb, not 10mb and yes these plans were available since April, long before the XT network launched.
