Hiya,

I'm trying to help a friend who is a TelstraClear customer and has had major drop-out issues with old standard issue Dynalink 1320.

I gave them my spare Dlink 502T router that I had setup as a backup for my Xnet connection here. That worked fine, so all i did was give them instructions on how to get into the control panel on the router and enter their own username and password. I told them to leave all the other settings as-is as I figured that these would change between ISPs in NZ.

My friend just called and said that she has gone through the steps and restared the router. The ADSL light on the front of the box is solid green. However in the admin, under WAN status, she sees it is "awaiting response".

Does anyone have any clue to what settings, if any, would probably change between Xnet and TelstraClear? And is there any TelstraClear customer out there using the Dlink 502T who would be kind enough to provide a screenshot of their WAN settings so I can double check ours?

Cheers
Aaron

Update:

Done a hard reset. Re-entered username and password. (The router defaulted to Xtra settings). Save and Reboot.

Just realised looking at a diagram that the ADSL Link/Act light is solid green. Doesn't this mean that it's connected?
