Hey there

I just signed up for the fax to email thing (yay!), but is there a way to go th other way - email (or something else) to a fax? That'd make it complete for me :)

Possible? Coming soon? Here now but I just can't find the page?

Hi Nic,

WorldxChange does not offer such a service, but you could accomplish something like this using a dialup modem and software like winfax.

Might be worth checking out.

Cheers

Josh

There are also a handful of programs around now that support software based T.38 faxing to a SIP endpoint.

This means you can print from any program and fax directly from your machine like traditional fax software but it will be sent using VoIP.

I'm going to be cheeky and mention that 2Talk has functionality that can do this.

Thanks - I'll have a look at 2talk - there are a few others out there if I google for it, so thats good.

The idea was to do it all without a fax machine, or dialup gear, as we are in London (with our PAP2T), so thought it would be good to keep it all virtual, or atleast over IP. I'd imagine that the lag from here would be too much for faxing, tho I've not tried.

Cheers everyone. @joshp, any ideas if you might be considering it later? either a web interface, or email from PDF or TIFF? Would be VERY handy, atleast for us.....

A good online fax service is also Popfax.com. I use it and I like it. It's cheap, easy to use and available worldwide. With the code 0802198408021984 everyone can have 20% discount for subscription. Go to FAQ page for more details.
