I have just received an email from WorldxChange and it seems it's now easier to get the Whitepages listing updated. Just follow the link to the WorldxChange Directory pages and you can check and/or update the listing.

Except that it's currently not working:

I received the same email, and I can log in to view my details. However, if I select the option to have my listing "Unlisted" there is no way to submit the form!

Apologies for the issues you had last night Mauricio (and anyone else who tried). Unfortunately the email went out a touch early last night and coincided with a maintenance window for one of our internal systems.

The service was down between about 9:45 and 10:10 last night, while an upgrade was being done.

It looks like we still have a few kinks to work out with the lack of a submit button for unlisted numbers, but at least we got the service back up and running faster than 2degrees. :-)

Cheers,
Scott.

Damn timing... It's everything.

Well pulled.

Well, I tried to get through last night's window, and got rebuffed. It recognised me this morning however. Alas, it can't find a matching entry in the database, so the [Verify] button is just a waste of a perfectly good click.
I am going right off on-line systems (I am also with 2 degrees - - I think, it's a bit hard to confirm ;) )

Hi R2x1,

I've just checked you account and have updated your address. The address verification is a bit finicky as we are do a match against an NZ Post database that is pretty specific about formatting.

Anyway, your issue was that there was a - (dash) instead of a / (slash). If you try again, it should verify for you now.

So, for anyone whose address is a unit or similar, slash, don't dash.

eg: 1/20 A Street not 1-20 A Street.

Thank you Sir! ! That was neat - and quick.

Dash it, my slash & burn technique didn't work ;)

ROFL - just checked some NZ Post correspondence - they have used both dash and slash, maybe their whimsical data base is sensitive to the date ;-)
