If your internet is stopping regularly then that will be causing the VOIP to disconnect. If the internet is disconnecting regularly then start with the router.

Can you borrow another router to troubleshoot? Which linksys device do you have?

Personally I wouldn't do anything about the linksys until you have a reliable internet connection that doesn't disconnect all the time.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Hi, could you maybe explain what router you have, what sync rate, attenuation and S/N rates it connects at, this will help understand what could be an issue. Also have you tried an isolation test, ie disconnecting all phones, alarms and any other device that maybe across the line.

I assume you are on a naked DSL connection by there may still be an old phone device across the line.

Agree, internet disconnecting is not a symptom of VoIP but rather the other way round. Since you are with WxC for both internet and VoIP (or VoBB as they call it), there is a good chance they will notice your post and look at it (they pride their VoBB quality). But the only guaranteed way to get their support is to contact their support; they can diagnose your connection remotely and give an indication of where they think the problem might be.

You can never have enough Volvos!
