Evening!
Are there still WorldExchange people monitoring this forum? I had a quick look through, and didn't see anything from Maverick. Nicholas Cuc was active in June, but I'm told he has now left WxC.
I am very embarrased at the bad experience some friends of mine have had, after I recommended VFX. They operate a business over three offices in Welington. The woman who does the day to day management has no confidence using in technology at all.
They had been using HSI & 'free' VFX with few problems for 18 months in Tawa, and decided to move their Johnsonville office to Fusion. Getting it going was a major problem, including being without a business phone for the best part of a week or so. Eventually that got going. Then WxC mis-read some of their own notes, and accidently moved Tawa to Fusion. That was not so bad - only lost one day or two of phone use. (Still not good for a buisness.) Nicholas Cuc swapped their WAP54g APs for WAG310s at no charge. (Apparently, they have been doing this for all customers.)
That all happened in May/June this year. I've been very busy, and not asked them about it since. Last week I did ask, and discovered they have had regular disconnections, every month or so, for up to a day or more at a time, at both sites. The customer said the CSRs were always very nice, and got the phones going again. I said the whole situation was unacceptable. Understandably, they are now talking about moving all their phones back to Telecom!
Have other people had these sorts of outages?
The only CPE hardware that changed in Tawa as the AP 'upgrade'. The old one worked fine, as far as we could tell. Have other people had good / bad experience with the WAG310?
Thanks for any feedback.
