I am thinking of getting Homezone but wonder how accurate the zone mesuring is. My 3G coverage is patchy around my house, rangeing from 5 bars to zilch.
Thanks.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I know a couple of people that have used it and it goes _way_ beyond their houses and still is homezone.

Give it a shot, whats the worst that can happen? Doesnt work so you cancel it.

Yeh, was thinking more of people calling in, thinking it was a local number and getting stung with a cellphone call cost.

Correct name is localzone

You do not require 3G coverage for localzone to work works fine over 2G

I can see how he got confused... The VF website says you need a 3G handset.

It does say this but 3G coverage is not required for the service to work only a 3G handset

In your localzone you can lock the handset to GSM and localzone will still work

It is a local number, they cant get charged for calling it. If you dont have the pay more divert option it will just hit your voicemail if its not in the zone.

You need a 3G phone as it works as an app on your sim. because of some advances between 2G and 3G handsets the 3G handsets can run the sim app.

There is no way a caller who dials a local landline number can be charged a fee.

If anything, you would be charged. But in this case, it would go to vociemail... unless you had followme.
