I just saw the TV advert for slingshot advertising 25 cent per minute mobile calls to any network anytime in NZ ?
Are they using vodafone as their carrier ?

Seems strange we are paying 89 cents a minute ourselves thru vodafone ...

Yes they are a MNVO. No different from the offer TelstraClear were pushing through their deal with Telecom. With both you pay $20 a month and get reduced calling costs. What your really doing is prepaying for the 64 cents per minute discount, they bank on not everyone making enough calls to exceed this sub.
