I see in the NZNOG list that WorldxChange is to start an IPv6 over xDSL trial:

WorldxChange is about to start a IPv6 trial over xDSL and was wondering if anyone here would like to participate.

At this stage it will be a closed trial limited to 10 or so users.

It will be offered over a standard xDSL link dual-stacked using DHCPv6 for address assignment, so, you will need a router that is capable of DHCPv6.  So far we have tested with the Cisco 837 & 877 (for which we have example configs), but if you think you can make it work, then you are welcome to try.

We will be assigning a /56 prefix to each user, and it can either be static or dynamic, upto you :)

Prerequisites;

- An xnet adsl account
- A capable router (see above)
- Willingness to provide feedback on how we can improve the service

Note:  The helpdesk will not be supporting IPv6 at this stage in time, support will be via a forum setup on the wxnz.net site.

Removed the URL to register because it is not for Geekzone users - a bummer.

Interesting.. i'm not sure if my D-Link G604T Gen II does support IPv6 - what main advantages does it offer? (apart from a whole lot more web assigned addresses?)

Its also interesting to note, that the registration form to apply for it, is at wxnz.net - i won't link it, because it doesn't take a genius to take a gander.. plus i don't want to get in trouble for spreading it.

Also Supported known Routers: (according to their site)
Cisco 837
Cisco 877
Probably other cisco boxes will work too...
Linux box with PCI modem
DD-WRT box (apparently)

Nice to see a NZ ISP taking ipv6 seriously. Pity I'm with Orcon now otherwise I would have signed up to this trial.
