Hi All,

an update on this post: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=40&topicid=42014

apprentley, vodafone is having issues with 3G across auckland, as a site in manukau has gone down ..... not sure of full details, but that's what vodafone customer services .... apprantley its unrealted to what they had posted yesterday - as that now says its 'resolved' :P ..... http://forum.vodafone.co.nz/topic/3605-resolved-issue-intermittent-loss-of-3g-data-services/

Anyone have any idea on how long this is going to be an issue for? ... 2G network is starting to get interference on calls, i assume this is as everyone is moving from 3g to 2g?

Cheers,
H

Have found the same issue - 3G can't hold a call for more than a minute (either incoming or ourgoing) and now 2G is becoming very digital.

Customer services told me something similar - the 3G site in Manukau is down and that is what supplies most of Auckland.  Seems a bit weird that they would have a single point of failure like that.  Then again, maybe customer services has it wrong.

The issue started on Monday - still no good two days later!

No Data Coverage in Trentham for last 3 days.  Vodafone Technical helpdesk say it my computer not their network as cellphone coverage is fine!  Funny thing is I don't have any problem in Wellington City or Johnsonville and Trentham has been fine for last 5 months until now.  Vodafone forum says the issue is resolved.  They should write ads for Tui beer!

Issue has now been fixed.  Turns out it was only a single sector that was faulty.  Thank you John for working on getting this resolved.
