Hi everyone,

One of the functions I love about the VFX service is the call Notify feature, I have noticed that it has been erratic of late, now is not working.
I have been in the portal and it is turned on, a catch all and a valid email address.
Anyone else having problems.

Cheers

John

This issue is currently being investigated by our Operations team.

Update - this issue should now be resolved.

I'm unsure as to what exactly caused the issue, Operations just advised the issue had been resolved.

It's the first time I've ever seen anything like it and I'm sure the Operations team will ensure it doesn't occur again any time soon.

Not working any more. It appears that VFX Manager (the Windows tray application) is not logging calls either.  Had a call 15 minutes ago.

Notifications arrived 5 hours late, so guess they are working on it.

I am now getting notifications come through from last weekend, had me fooled for a while.
One of the notifications had a name on it, he is not with the VFX service, it looks like they might have a pairing agreement with italk or 2talk again.

CallPlus are sending calls via SIP to WorldxChange again (I spent a lot of time moaning about it to CP). Previously it was only one way SIP from WxC to CP. The other upside is your codec choice will follow through, so if you're like me and use wideband, you can talk to customers on the other network with super awesome audio quality.

I am using a WAG310 so Xnet will have me on a low bitrate codec.
I just had a call from another friend who has her calling with Slingshot, next big thing ( must have an ATA at the exchange ) plan and her name has come through.
Really good to see.

What ATAs will support the wideband codecs?

@SATTV:

you can call through to the help desk to have a higher bitrate codec enabled, please be aware that if your current internet connection is poor this may impact on your call quality.

@richms:

not sure of any ATA's that are currently supporting the g722 codecs but phones such as the Polycom and Aastra have supported them for some time now, Cisco are also bringing out desk phones that support it, and we expect to see more coming.

Cheers

Josh
