Hi!
Currently on xnet and tunneling to Hurricane Electric. It would be good to know if 6 over 4 is avalible. I would like to use an Xnet allocated IPv6 /48 or /52 for my home network. At the moment I am just investigating the minimum requirements for simple IPv6 set up, and then progressing on to using a ULA, or AVAHI based local network.
I can see that IPv6 requires the edge devices to do more, ie IPv6 based dynamic DNS for a home, as well as maybe setting up a ULA. Is DHCPv6 required in a home/SOHO LAN? As soon as the network gets one or two LANs, dynamic routing in combination with a ULA will be required so that renumbering to an alternate ISP is reasonably simple. Great time to learn about OSPFv6, and I can see that openWRT based routers will be a good thing as they will be a lot cheaper than a more expensive Cisco.
I will
Cheers,
Matthew Grant
