Back in October some of you may have received a letter from TLC saying you were "chosen as one of the first customers" for their brand new packages on the brand new network.

We went with this but had a few hiccups shortly after switching.

I bought a new modem at their suggestion that it was my modem that was problematic, however I've since found it wasn't my old modem.

My neighbour recently had the same issue and TLC also recommended they buy a new one. However they were able to make the change without issue so didn't have to buy a new one.

I thought I'd plug in my old modem and guess what it works fine.

Note that during the troubleshooting sessions when I first had the issues I alternated between PPPoA "LLC" and "Vc_MUX" because it worked one day and not the next. I was told that the modem wasn't retaining the settings.

I was wondering whether any of you experienced issues after the switch over and were told that the issues were a result of your dsl modem and you bought a new one based on the recommendation from TLC tech support.
