For a couple of months now my VF data connection stops working even though it says its connected.
I get the answering modem has dropped the call or just nothing can be found.
I have to reset my phone or reboot it to get it working on data once more and then it is fine again..

I thought it must of been my phone so I bought an XT sim just to check it out.
Since I have had the XT sim in there connected @ 850 3G I have not had one lockup or problem in 4 days now and it always works, quite a bit faster at times as well !

I have noticed that after a while of non-use the 3G connection drops on XT but always reconnects and works once I use it again.
On VF it stays connected on 3G and doesn't drop as I go everywhere but doesn't work when I go to use it after a while and have to reset to get it going again.

The phone is an Imate Jasjam (HTC hermes) running Windows Mobile 6.0 (HTC build)
On VF I would be connected @2100 3G
On XT I would be connected @ 850 3G

I am in Hamilton and quite often it drops to 2G or GSM on VF as well.

Any ideas what the problem could be ?
